Trains have always been my first love, but I can also be interested in trams, buses and commercial vehicles. Cars generally leave me cold, and boats and planes might as well be in the freezer, with just a few exceptions. Although I used to be a trainspotter at the major London stations, my real love is the minor railway - either a country branch line, light railway or narrow gauge system. My railway hero is Colonel Stephens, that's why I am in the Colonel Stephens Society. If you admire the work of Nigel Gresley or William Stannier, we won't have much in common.
